FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This postponement was made in response to the government-issued advisory by the Government to avoid mass gatherings and to maintain social distancing due to COVID-19. The MMU Senate, in its meeting no. 102 on 7th April 2020, agreed to postpone the 21st MMU Convocation 2020, scheduled for the 19th and 20th September 2020, to September 2021.
If you have completed your studies and are in compliance with all the requirements, you would be declared as a ‘Graduands of 2020’. Congratulations!
The names of the students whose application to graduate have been approved will be posted on the convocation website (https://convocation.mmu.edu.my) starting on 15 July 2020.
Graduands may collect their respective certificates in person at the ERU Office (Melaka or Cyberjaya campus) or by post.
Should choose to have the convocation items sent by courier services, charges will apply.
The convocation items will be available for collection starting 5 October 2020 onwards.
Graduands are required to update their personal information to ensure that the information printed on the scroll and academic transcript are accurate. In addition, current information will be used as a reference source for MMU Alumni office.
The Tracer Study is a compulsory annual survey to be completed by graduands upon completion of their respective academic programmes. It is used to gather information on the employment status of graduates, as well as their review of past academic experience in this University.
Graduands may access the Tracer Study online by visiting http://graduan.mohe.gov.my/v/
Kindly fill in the survey form as accurately as possible and upload the confirmation slip to the convocation website. Failure to complete the survey form will cause delays on the collection of your certificate and academic transcripts.
COLLECTION OF CONVO ITEM
Graduates who are unable to personally collect their certificate and academic transcripts, and wish to
authorize another person to do it on their behalf, are required to submit Letter of Authorization for the collection of their certificate and academic transcripts. Graduates may download from here.
Please note that the authorised person is required to produce the following documents during the collection of a graduand’s certificate and academic transcripts:
a) The Letter of Authorization
b) A copy of authorized person’s NRIC/Passport.
c) A copy of MOHE Tracer Study slip (if it is not uploaded in the convocation website)
Yes. For more information, please visit the Courier Service website (https://convocation.mmu.edu.my/cr_service/). Please be informed that your request to courier to your home address will be made after 9th October 2020. No courier delivery of these items would be made between today until 9th October 2020.
Yes. We can send the certificate and academic transcripts to an international address. Please visit the Courier Service website (https://convocation.mmu.edu.my/cr_service/).
Yes, postage and/or courier fees will be charged.
