 DRESS CODE FOR THE CONVOCATION CEREMONY

Convocation Attire

Male Graduands

Convocation Robe & Mortarboard / Bonnet

National / Traditional Costume (which is appropriate and presentable)

Dark-coloured lounge suit, long-sleeved shirt and tie.

Dark-coloured shoes (full-covered shoes).

MMU Tie only

Convocation Attire

Female Graduands

Convocation Robe & Mortarboard / Bonnet

National / Traditional Costume (which is appropriate and presentable).

Long-sleeved shirt or blouse with a blazer.

Skirt (below knee-length or ankle-length) or long pants.

Black, dark-coloured court shoes (Full-covered shoes).

Note :

Female graduates are required to wear the MMU brooch (which can be collected during the collection of the robe).

 

Graduands are reminded to dress neatly and appropriately. However, the following items are STRICTLY PROHIBITED:

a)  Tight-fitting attire
b)  Slippers, sandals and sports footwear
c)  T-shirts
d)  Jeans and shorts
e)  Sports attire

THE UNIVERSITY HAS THE RIGHT  TO REFUSE ENTRY TO GRADUANDS WHO ARE NOT APPROPRIATELY DRESSED.
